Regular Position: (Minimum 5 day search required; Search time > 5 days requires additional advanced notification) USA 1.5 Months

Federal regulations require that an individual complete necessary paperwork and be formally appointed to Cornell payroll prior to commencing work.  Please contact the Administrative Manager and Chair’s Assistant as soon as a decision has been reached to hire, but no less than the minimum advance notification period shown in the table below.

Appointment information and procedures for regular non-academic staff, Postdocs, student, temporary, and visiting/volunteer positions are available from the Chair’s Assistant. Information on appointment procedures for academic positions is available from the Graduate Field Assistant.

To initiate a hiring action, documents including but not limited to the following may be needed. Please work with the Chair’s Assistant to determine the specific requirements for your request.

WorkDay Timekeeping

All hourly staff and student positions must submit timecards using the WorkDay at Cornell system by 8:00am on the specified due date each pay period.
